During 2001–2002, he functioned as Humboldt Fellow within the Department of Economic and Environmental Geology at Freie Universitaet Berlin, Berlin. During 2000–2004, he functioned as Scientist C within the Minerals Processing Division at CSIR-National Metallurgical Laboratory, East Singhbhum. He served as Assistant Manager in the R & D Division at Tata Steel, Erstwhile Tata Iron and Steel company, East Singhbhum (1998–2000).
