Parameswari Krishnamurthy
Dr. Parameswari Krishnamurthy has joined Language Technology Research Centre (LTRC) at IIIT-H as an Assistant Professor. Her research interests include Machine Translation, Translation Divergence Study, Morphological Analysis and Generation, Syntactic and Semantic Parsing. Prior to joining IIIT, she worked as an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Applied Linguistics and Translation Studies at the University of Hyderabad. She was involved in multiple NLP projects, developing machine translation systems and tools for Indian languages.[1]
Education
Dr. Parameswari completed her B.A. degree in English Literature, Navarasam Arts and Science College for Women, Affiliated with Bharathiar University, from 2003-2006. She then pursued a master's in computational linguistics from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. She completed her M.Phil. and Ph.D. from University of Hyderabad. Her Ph.D research is on “Development of Telugu-Tamil Machine Translation: With Special Reference to Divergence”.[2]
Research & Publications
Her major research interests are Natural Language Processing and Machine Translation, Morphological Analysis & Generation, Parsing, Linguistic Divergence, Contrastive Grammar of Tamil and Telugu, and Corpus Linguistics.[3]
